Note:  The Jets faced former goalie Eric Comrie who was making his first NHL start of the season for Detroit last night in Winnipeg.  The game was close until the home side broke it open with three goals in two minutes in the second period, going on to win 5-1 over the Wings.  Today the Jets are scheduled to practice at 11 AM before they head for Michigan to complete their home and home series with the Wings.  Check back for the Practice Report for the latest news and audio.

Note III:  While it seems unlikely, Michael Russo of The Athletic Minnesota wrote about the Wild being hosts of the 2021 Winter Classic and he had the Jets as the third likeliest team to be their opponent.

Note III:  The Moose are in Texas to kick off five games on the road when they take on the Stars tonight at 7 pm.  The team got Mason Appleton back after he was assigned by the Jets on Tuesday morning.

TSN: Laine shines with ‘goal-scorers’ goal against Red Wings. Patrik Laine scored a beauty goal for his ninth of the season and while some might expect more scoring from the Jets’ sniper, Mike Johnson points out that he’s still contributing offensively, it’s just not what we’re used to seeing.
