Coach Maurice: Update on Andrew Copp? Copp is doubtful before Christmas? Losing Perreault/Copp. Dahlstrom in? Given Copp’s history was it concussion related? What happened on the fourth Carolina goal? How do they flush a game? Re-visiting the loss of Perreault/Copp and the hole it leaves in the team. The Jets going 8-1-1 in home games, does he chalk that up to being due for a bad one? How important has Luca Sbisa been for this team? Is timeline for Kulikov the same? Any common themes in preventing losing streaks?
Health Update:
Jets coach Paul Maurice has indicated that Andrew Copp is week-to-week with an upper-body injury he sustained in the 2nd period of last night’s game. He was also asked if there was any change in the status of Dmitry Kulikov who was ruled out of the lineup until around the All-Star break (end of January) and he indicated “He feels he’s healing really quickly but there’s windows on these that from a medical point of view we won’t say ‘hey ya you feel good but were going to chop two weeks off what we think you should take to heal’ so he’s still on the same timeline.”
Recall:
No word yet on who the Jets will recall as all coach Maurice would reveal is that they are contemplating a recall or two from the Moose who are currently in Colorado. I would guess it will be Mason Appleton and if there is a second maybe Andrei Chibisov, CJ Suess or Jansen Harkins. Update: The recalls were Mason Appleton and Jansen Harkins (first ever NHL recall).
