Note: The Jets are done. The Moose are done. We will still try to get you anything relevant to the pro hockey clubs of Manitoba during the next little bit. Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection. We will be spending quite a bit of time learning about the players who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg at the end of June. You can also check out our chat with Craig Button as it pertains to the pick here.
Note II: Nikolaj Ehlers is going to the Stanley Cup Final with the Hurricanes advancing last night. Seems like just yesterday he was playing in Halifax and liking tweets from Jets fans hoping Winnipeg would draft him. After giving a decade to hockey in the ’Peg, he now gets his chance at hockey immortality alongside Winnipegger Seth Jarvis and Brandon’s Jordan Martinook.
Note III: Join us for two hours of hockey talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show as we continue to discuss all things Jets, reflect on the NHL playoffs, discuss the success of Winnipeg players at the World Championship, chat about next month’s NHL Draft and more. We’ll be joined by Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press and Jeff Marek of The Sheet on Daily Faceoff. Show starts at 9 AM CT. Link is here.
