Note: With the World Championship in the rear-view mirror the Jets are mostly in offseason mode. Obviously TrotzWatch continues but as you’ll read below that doesn’t sound like it will be resolved anytime soon. However courtesy of CapFriendly we do know that the Jets inked 2020 6th rounder Tyrel Bauer ahead of the June 1st deadline to a three-year ELC. And with the Rangers win last night the condition of the Andrew Copp trade activates, upgrading the Jets 2nd rounder into a 2022 1st-round pick.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Latest on Winnipeg Jets coaching search, Scott Arniel and Barry Trotz. (Paywall). Seems a bit cart before the horse type of situation unless this was done in consultation with Barry Trotz. I cannot imagine that the Jets would make a strong play for the former Islanders coach and make this move without his knowledge.
Winnipeg Sun: Fans split on Cheveldayoff, know exactly who they want as next head coach. I was in Lake of the Woods on Sunday so I missed seeing that the results of the You Be the Boss poll from the folks at the Sun was available.
