Note: Training camp for the Jets gets underway today with the on-ice portion of camp.  It is closed to the public but we will have it covered. Here is a breakdown of the two groups which will skate today.  Update: Check out the latest from group 1, group 2 and the other news that Marko Dano was put on waivers as well as the full interview with head coach Paul Maurice.

Note II:  World Juniors action gets going again today which will see 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti and Team Canada take on Team Russia while 2019 1st rounder Ville Heinola and 2019 4th rounder Henri Nikkanen with Team Finland take on Team USA.

theScore: Laine downplays agents’ reported trade comments: ‘I’m here, aren’t I?‘  Which is why my point whenever we’ve discussed this issue is why would his agent put him in this position.  

Winnipeg Sun:  Laine doesn’t deny he wants out.  There was no emphatic “no” when the questions about a trade were fired at him in the early part of his interview. Paul shares his thoughts.
