Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note:  It was a wild and wacky kick off to 2020 last night at Bell MTS Place as the Toronto Maple Leafs, with many, many fans in attendance, took it 6-3 on a night that the Jets held a significant shot edge but didn’t get the goaltending support that they have come to rely upon from Connor Hellebuyck.  Today the Jets are scheduled to practice at 12 noon before they head to Minnesota to kick off a four-game road trip.  Check back for the Practice Report later today for the latest news and audio.

Note II:  The Moose will look to keep the good times rolling as they have won three of their last four games including a two-game sweep of the Rockford IceHogs.  Tonight they welcome the Colorado Eagles to town and Manitoba might have some revenge on the brain considering Colorado hammered them just over two weeks ago by a score of 10-4.  But this will be a tough test considering the Eagles are 7-1-1-1 in their last 10 games.  Puck drop is at 7 pm.

Note III:  It was a busy day for news on Thursday.  In case you missed any of it, Winnipeg reassigned Joona Luoto to the Moose, advised that Nathan Beaulieu is out a minimum of a month, and recalled Sami Niku to Jets.  Additionally the Moose have recalled Jets 2016 4th rounder Jacob Cederholm back to Manitoba.
