The Jets are now 47-20-10 as their six-game winning streak was snapped by the Blackhawks 6-2.
For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.
Notable:
– Bryan Little got his 200th NHL goal;
– Scott Foster, who was an emergency backup, played 14 minutes of the 3rd period in what is easily the craziest thing we’ve seen this season in his first ever NHL action at the age of 36. He was thrust into action after Collin Delia was injured in the final frame. Delia it is worth noting was also making his NHL debut. Foster made seven saves in those 14 minutes on Myers x 2, Laine, Copp, Byfuglien, Stastny and Armia.

Coach Maurice: What didn’t work tonight after such a strong homestand? Is that an easier game to forget when multiple things went wrong? What did the Hawks do to keep the shots to the outside? Did he get a sense of frustration from his team? Thoughts on facing the emergency backup goalie? On it being a trap game.
