Note: The Trade Deadline for the Jets got started on Sunday night when the team re-acquired Mason Appleton, they traded Nate Beaulieu overnight, somewhat shockingly dealt Bryan Little‘s contract and Nathan Smith‘s signing rights in the morning, acquired Zach Sanford, then dealt Andrew Copp, traded away Nelson Nogier and ultimately extended Kristian Reichel. You can find links to each of those moves here and watch the media availability with Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff here.
Note II: Now that the Trade Deadline is out of the way it is time to resume focus on the regular season. The Jets are back in action today as they kick off four games at home starting with a re-match with the Golden Knights who they faced here last Tuesday. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM so stay tuned for the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show (we will also be doing a Trade Deadline Recap show tonight).
Note III: The Moose got some players back (although we shall have to see if they were paper transactions or actual ones) with the news that the Jets had reassigned Kristian Reichel, Jeff Malott and Ville Heinola to their AHL club on Monday. They did that so as to maintain AHL playoff eligibility for the trio and for those wondering about Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti due to a clause in the CBA he would not be available, although it may be moot as he isn’t healthy anyways so it is possible he wouldn’t have been able to regardless of eligibility. Today the Moose are scheduled to practice in Rockford as they continue their road trip getting ready for a game tomorrow night against the IceHogs.
