Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note:  The Jets hit the ice on Sunday for a practice where we learned that there is a strong possibility that Adam Lowry will return to the lineup for Winnipeg.  If he is ready to go it really gives the Jets their strongest lineup of the season with the only missing piece being veteran Bryan Little who is done for the season.  Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM CDT so be sure to check back for our pre-game report.  Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.

Note II:  The Moose just fell short of pulling off the four-game homestand sweep as the Wild ended up winning Sunday’s contest 3-2 which meant Manitoba would finish it up 3-1-0-0.  Despite the loss David Gustafsson (goal) and Kristian Vesalainen (goal) both played very well and you can really see the chemistry developing between the two Jets prospects.  The Moose are seven points back of the fourth and final playoff spot.  They are off today and will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday here before they head out for six games on the road.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets Notebook. Taylor’s notes include: 1) Lowry expected in lineup Monday night against Coyotes. 2) Levaing the Coronavirus to the experts. 3) Brossoit stays ready. 4) Little and Letestu still contributing.

ESPN: Conor Garland week-to-week with lower-body injury. It is a pretty big blow to a Coyotes team that is having trouble scoring when they lose their only goal scorer who is about the 20 goal mark. For a team already challenged putting the puck in the back of the net this will hurt them.

Moose news:

Illegal Curve: Moose comeback falls shorts as Wild win it 3-2 which was only blemish on four-game homestand. David Gustafsson had himself an afternoon as he was noticeable at all ends of the ice picking up a goal and assist in the loss. His linemate Kristian Vesalainen also looked good in the contest.
