It was a frustrating 2022-23 season for defenceman Logan Stanley starting with a slight foot fracture in early November which landed him on the injured reserve and then six weeks later, after finally being activated off IR, being placed right back on it just days later with an injury that would cost him at least a month of the season. It ended up knocking him out for six weeks before he was again activated off IR.
After playing 58 games for the Jets during the 2021-22 campaign he was limited to just 19 regular season games and one playoff game last season. In early March there was a report that Stanley had requested a trade.
Despite the above the only news to report today is that the big Dman has himself a new contract as the Jets and the RFA have agreed to one-year contract with an AAV of one million.
It is gonna be a crowded left side with Josh Morrissey, Brenden Dillon and Dylan Samberg seemingly occupying the one through three spots and with Declan Chisholm (remains unsigned) and other challenging for a place on the roster for 2023-24.
