We’ve seen an increasing number of players head to college hockey after spending a few years in the CHL as they look to further their development.
Just recently on our IC Hockey Show we heard from prospect experts Craig Button (watch here) and Shane Malloy (watch here) who shared the benefits for players who choose that route.
Along those lines, another Jets prospect appears to be heading to the NCAA. According to Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald, 2025 third-round pick Owen Martin is expected to join Colorado College for the 2027-28 season.

The Oakbank, Manitoba product has spent the last three seasons in the WHL with Spokane and will wrap up his CHL career there next year.
