Winnipeg Jets prospect Kieron Walton has yet to suit up for the Manitoba Moose this season due to a lower-body injury, and his AHL season debut will now be delayed another four to six weeks after undergoing surgery today.

Moose head coach Mark Morrison described the procedure as a “small operation” and said it was “nothing too serious,” but confirmed Walton would be sidelined for four to six weeks.
Back in late September, the injury was initially characterized as relatively minor. However, it appears the situation has evolved to the point where surgery was deemed necessary, pushing back the young forward’s season debut.
