The Moose will be playing a big game on Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg when they welcome the best in the west Griffins to town for the first game of their second round series of the Calder Cup playoffs.
It will also be the pro debut for Jets prospect Garrett Brown (2022 4th) who is coming off a National Championship with Denver last month.
Shortly thereafter he signed his first pro deal with Winnipeg and joined Manitoba of the AHL on an amateur tryout offer for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
Ten days back he skated for the first time with his new teammates and we had a chance to hear from him for the first time in some time.

With the news that fellow prospect Elias Salomonsson was done for the season after having shoulder surgery it opened an opportunity for Brown who was skating this week alongside Isaak Phillps (in the absence of Kale Clague) and then yesterday and today alongside Dylan Anhorn, who was a college free agent signing of the Moose but played in the same division (NCHC) as Brown in college.
After skate today head coach Mark Morrison and Brown himself confirmed that he would be making his pro debut in the first game of the second round.
He spoke about what it will mean to him which you can watch here:
Puck drop is at 2 PM tomorrow afternoon and if you’d like tickets we have a friends and family offer here.
