Note: The Jets took a 2-1 lead into the second period in Colorado, but the Avalanche took over late in the frame to build a 3-2 advantage after 40 minutes. They added two more in the third to earn a 5-2 win and close out Winnipeg’s exhibition schedule. The Jets will now head to Colorado Springs for a few days of team bonding and practice before returning to Manitoba.
Note II: It was a notable day on Friday as the Jets reduced their training camp roster by five going from 34 to 29 players (although three of those are injured). Since four of the five required waivers we will have to wait and see if any get claimed around 1 PM CT.
Note III: The Moose were also in action on Friday as they played their first exhibition game since 2019. They fell 3-0 using a lot of players from their ECHL squad in St. Paul to the Iowa Wild. They are back in action this afternoon at 2 PM CT for the re-match. The game is only available on radio which can be heard on the Des Moines Sports Station 1460/106.3 KXNO.
