Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | October 26, 2026

A daily roundup of Jets, Moose coverage and all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: What a weekend of hockey in Winnipeg. We’re incredibly fortunate to do what we do at Illegal Curve, getting to cover these events, share the stories and bring you along for the experience. A big thank you to everyone who followed our coverage throughout Heritage Classic weekend. We truly appreciate you making IC part of your hockey routine.

Note II: While there was plenty of strolling down memory lane at both the Alumni Game and the Heritage Classic, there was still a hockey game to be played with two points on the line. After a slow first period, the Habs scored twice in the middle frame, a deficit the home team was unable to overcome despite Isak Rosén scoring his first goal of the season (and the first Heritage Classic goal on home ice in Winnipeg). The loss extends the Jets’ winless streak to five games (0-3-2). The team is off today.

Note III: The Moose are coming off back-to-back wins in Iowa, defeating the Wild 4-3 on Friday before following that up with a 2-0 victory on Saturday. After using Sunday as a travel day, the Moose will practice today in Chicago as they prepare for their first school-day game of the season on Tuesday against the Wolves.
