Note: Still not sure what happened last night has truly sunk in. While it doesn’t rival the Manitoba Miracle, given that was a playoff game, last night’s historic four-goal comeback by Winnipeg late in the 3rd period in Montreal, erasing a 4-0 deficit to force overtime and then they won 5-4 in extra time, was one of the most remarkable regular-season games we’ve ever witnessed. Add to that Tyrel Bauer scoring his first NHL goal, picking up his first NHL assist and having a big boy tilt with Arber Xhekaj, and you’ve got yourself a Gordie Howe hat trick for the pride of Cochrane, Alberta. What a night for No. 77. With the victory, the Jets snapped their nine-game losing streak and managed to salvage something positive from an otherwise disastrous four-game road trip. The team has the day off today.
Note II: We’ll find out later today whether another NHL team has claimed Brad Lambert off waivers or if the 2022 first-rounder has cleared and can be assigned to the Manitoba Moose after the Jets placed him on waivers yesterday.
Note III: The Moose spent Tuesday morning at Siloam Mission lending a helping hand to those less fortunate in our city. Today, they are back on the ice for a 10:30 AM practice as they continue preparing for this weekend’s games against the Marlies. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.
