Jets news:

TSN:  Jets complete Ontario trip with game against SensWe won’t know if Burmistrov will be back in the lineup until pre-game skate as the Jets won’t be skating prior to the game today.

Winnipeg Free Press:  26 games later, he’s Wright onWhile it seems like an excuse to say that a players play shouldn’t simply be measured in goals and assists, this seems especially true for James Wright who has done so many defensive things well that his lack of scoring was overlooked.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Bogo rides to rescueHe is just such a dynamic player and while you prefer to see him using his hands to score a goal, his teammates have to appreciate seeing him defend Kane.  Thankfully after 17 minutes off the ice, his hands were good enough to score his first shootout goal of his career.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets are th-th-thirdNo need to pinch yourselves Jets fans, it is true.  Through a tremendous effort the last month, your Winnipeg Jets have thrust themselves into the playoff picture and haven’t given any indication that they are slowing down.

Winnipeg Sun:  Wright finally gets it rightNo bigger stage for the Saskatoon native to score his first goal as a member of the Jets and his first NHL goal since the 2009-10 season when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Winnipeg Sun:  Ondrej Pavelec’s hot streak continuesFor someone who doesn’t like shootouts you could have fooled us as he stopped nine of ten Toronto shots last nightHe has been simply sensational the past month as he has helped to led his team into the 3rd spot in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto Sun:  Jets flying away too soonHave to agree with Mike’s lament that is it a real shame that this budding rivalry will snuffed out by realignment.  The Jets and Leafs games this season have been exciting, intense, chippy and a lot of fun for fans, players and media a like.

CBC:  Jets, Leafs flying in opposite directionsThe Jets appear to be rising to the top of the East and it does seem as if the Leafs are heading the other way.  Interestingly enough if the playoffs ended today, the Jets and Leafs would battle it out in the first round.
