Note: The Jets are in offseason mode but is there really ever an offseason? If there is any news we will have it for you here.

Note II: The Moose are also now in offseason mode. We did almost 20 interviews nine days ago to conclude the Moose season. Lots of good stuff from Jets prospects (see below). We will wrap up the season on Thursday at 3 PM with an end of season Moose recap show.

Note III: To date they’ve released Jimmy Oligny (watch here), head coach Mark Morrison (watch here), Evan Polei & Cole Maier (watch here), Dominic Toninato (watch here), Oskari Salminen (watch here), Ville Heinola (watch here), Arvid Holm (watch here), Simon Lundmark (watch here), Henri Nikkanen (watch here), Daniel Torgersson (watch here), Tyrel Bauer (watch here), Nicholas Jones (watch here), Kristian Reichel (watch here) and Jeff Malott (watch here).

Note IV: The Ice and Thunderbirds WHL Championship series is now 2-1 in favour of Seattle as they took it to Winnipeg last night by a final score of 6-3. Jets fans will be happy to see the speed on display from 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert. The series continues tonight with game 4 in Kent, Washington. Puck drop is at 9 PM CDT.

Jets news:

Daily Faceoff: Nikolaj Ehlers continues strong play on Day 5. The Dynamic Dane has been full value for his country during the World Championship.

Winnipeg Free Press: Fans the real winners when the Jets and Ice work together. (Paywall). They make it work in Calgary and Edmonton where three teams (NHL, AHL & WHL) are all under one roof. Mike is curious if there is room to make it work in Winnipeg?

The Athletic Winnipeg: Jets fan survey: Why did the season end with such disappointment? (Paywall). Murat indicates they “received nearly 1,000 survey submissions this time around and, based on their intensity, our annual check-in is important to you, too. This time, you sounded off on the highs and lows of the Jets season, your changing perceptions about Kevin Cheveldayoff and TNSE, your assessments of Rick Bowness and his staff and more. You graded Winnipeg’s forwards, defence and management, while naming your team’s MVP, biggest underachiever, unsung hero and biggest breakthrough performance.”

The Hockey News: Could the New Jersey Devils pursue Connor Hellebuyck this summer? Obviously they could. Will they? That is the question. The speculation about 37 will continue to run rampant all summer long until there is some sort of resolution.

Jets video:

Winnipeg Sports Talk: The Athletic has FOUR Winnipeg Jets on their trade board – reaction with Jeff Hamilton. Andrew “Hustler” Paterson is joined by Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press and they react to The Athletic’s offseason trade board which has four members of the Winnipeg Jets in the top eight.
