Note: The Jets were travelling back from Vegas on Friday. However, they did make some news as the team placed Nikolaj Ehlers on IR retroactive to October 18th and recalled Dominic Toninato from the Moose. After finishing their road trip a less than stellar 1-2-0 they are home for a pair of games starting tonight against the Leafs. An optional morning skate gets underway at 9:30 AM so stay tuned for the pre-game report followed by puck drop at 6 PM.

Note II:  Tonight, after the final buzzer sounds between the Jets and Leafs, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the latest game for the NHL team of Winnipeg. They got goals from Wyatt Bongiovanni (first pro), Mikey Eyssimont, Jansen Harkins, Nicholas Jones and Henri Nikkanen (first AHL) to improve to 2-0-1-0 on season. Moose goalie Oskari Salminen off to a solid 2-0-0 start to his North American career with a sterling 1.00 GAA and a .961 save %. They are back in action tonight against the Admirals in Milwaukee. Puck drop is at 6 PM.

Note IV: Make it five in a row for the Winnipeg Ice as they defeated the Blazers in Kamloops to improve to 10-1-0 on the season last night. Goalie Daniel Hauser improved to 8-0-0 on the season as he made 42 saves in the win over the Blazers. This season he’s got a 1.86 GAA and a 0.933 save %. They wrap up their eight-game road trip tonight in Kelowna against the Rockets.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Good in spurts, Jets lacking consistency in the infancy of the new season. The tough tests will continue tonight against the Leafs and Monday against the Blues so Winnipeg will have an opportunity to show that they can flush the bad and keep trying to get this squad all skating together on the right track. The good news for Winnipeg is they have a safety blanket in net who can help keep them afloat while they work out the kinks.
