Note: The Jets woke up this morning eight points back of the Predators and Stars who are in the first and second wild card spots in the Western Conference with all three teams having played 74 games. While still not mathematically eliminated it is gonna be nearly impossible for Winnipeg to catch either of these clubs. Especially when you consider the four clubs they will be facing to close out their final road trip of the regular season which will start tonight in Sunrise against the Panthers. Morning skate gets underway 10:30 AM and with Jansen Harkins a game-time decision but sure to stay tuned for the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game against Florida. Puck drop is at 6 PM CDT and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.
Note II: We did get some health updates on Thursday including the news that Mark Scheifele was not on the road trip, wouldn’t play any of these four games and he was listed as “day-to-day”. As well Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti, who is on the road trip, skated for 7-15 minutes by himself as he recovers from an injury that has kept him off the ice.
Note III: The Moose long week of practice will finally draw to a close after today when they hit the ice at 10:30 AM. Tomorrow and Sunday they take on the IceHogs in afternoon games. We’ve already given away the four tickets in the IC Zone for Saturday’s game but we’ve got four more to giveaway for the game on Sunday. If you wanna go see the stars of tomorrow, today and for free then you should be subscribing to our YouTube channel and also send me a DM to let me know if you wanna go.
