Note:  The Jets travelled to Montreal on Wednesday and are back in action tonight as they kick off five games on the road.  Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM CT so be sure to check back for the pre-game report with puck drop at 6 PM CT.

Note II: The Moose finished up their two-game series with the Marlies last night in Toronto which saw their losing streak extend to four games after they lost 4-2.  They now head to Bellevile to wrap up their eight-game trip out east.  Today is a travel day. They will face the Senators for the first time this season on Friday.

Note III:  Since it was a quiet day yesterday we took a look at what is doing with Jets prospects overseas as well as ones who are playing NCAA/USHL.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets have been winning their way. (Paywall). It certainly hasn’t been conventional and it likely isn’t sustainable in the playoffs but they continue to bank points and could potentially do some damage if they could get their defensive play to the same level as their offensive play.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Are the Jets’ recent results real or a mirage? Regardless, prepare for a return to the playoffs. (Paywall).  As has been evident for some time, the continued addition of points to the standings bank has put this team into a very good position for a playoff spot.  Murat makes some interesting observations in his latest piece including the impact of Paul Stastny.

Sportsnet: Jets answer Maurice’s challenge with complete effort vs. Canucks. Can they keep the effort they displayed to conclude the homestand rolling with a tough trip coming out east starting tonight in Montreal?
