Note: The Jets kicked off their four-game road trip with a wild 6-5 win over the Oilers last night in Edmonton. They are scheduled to practice today ahead of tomorrow’s re-match. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.
Note II: The Moose weren’t quite as fortunate as their parent club as they dropped their home/season opener last night 3-2 to the Marlies. However despite the loss the prospects did well with Cole Perfetti (see here) and Declan Chisholm (see here) both scoring their first pro goals in their first pro game. Re-match with the Marlies will be tonight at 7 pm.

Moose news:
Illegal Curve: Moose to play remainder of season (after February) at Iceplex. Interesting report from the folks at Global. Makes sense from a cost perspective as I suspect the IcePlex is a lot more affordable to run over the downtown arena.
Illegal Curve: Moose name four players as alternate captains; no captain this season. With the retirement of Winnipegger and last ever Thrashers draft pick Peter Stoykewych from pro hockey last season it meant the Manitoba Moose would be without a captain in 2021. While they won’t have someone wearing the C they will have four with an A.
