TSN:  NHL teams playing in home cities gaining steam to start 2021 season With the way things are going in Manitoba it is hard to envision this possibility here but we will have to wait to see what happens in the coming weeks and months.

The Athletic: NHL’s 2020-21 plan: What we’re hearing about the start date, hubs and format. (Paywall).  Scott Burnside wrote about the Board of Governors and senior executives meeting on Thursday. Scott writes that a Canadian division is expected and that the NHL could regroup the 24 American teams into three 8-team divisions. As mentioned above, American teams could begin the season in their own arenas.
