Note:  The Jets closed out 2019 in style with a 7-4 win over the second place in the central Avalanche to improve to 22-15-3 on the season.  They were scheduled to practice today ahead of tomorrow’s lone game of this one-game homestand against the red-hot Leafs to kick off 2020 but have cancelled it.  Which means they will be back in business for morning skate.

Note II:  The Moose completed the two-game series sweep of the IceHogs with yesterday’s 4-3 New Year’s Eve victory in front of over 8000 fans at Bell MTS Place.  Four goals in 4:16 of the 2nd period was all they would need to give them their second straight victory following the Christmas break.  The team has cancelled today’s practice and will be back on the ice on Thursday as they get ready to wrap up the homestand with a pair of games against the Eagles.

Note III:  Yesterday we looked back at 10 memorable moments for the Winnipeg Jets of last decade.  It was a fun exercise to reflect back on the last eight and a half years of NHL hockey being back in the ‘Peg.
