Note:  The Jets were off yesterday and held off reducing their roster, perhaps as they await word of the status of Andrew Copp and other players who are nursing minor bumps/bruises.  However this doesn’t change the fact that there is still plenty of intrigue with respect to the battle for roster spots which are coming down almost to the end of pre-seasonUpdate:  The Jets reduced their roster by four players.  Click here.

Note II:  While the Moose have officially ended their training camp this past weekend they will also be busy this week as they get ready for their season opener down in Michigan on Friday as they take on the defending champion Grand Rapids Griffins to open the 2017-18 season.  Update:  The Moose have assigned three players to the ECHL affiliate in Florida.  Click here.

The Athletic:  Jets have pieces to compete but still need to put them all together.  (Paywall).  Eric Duhatschek with an interesting way to look at a team.  No doubting the talent pool from which these Jets have to draw from but as Eric looks into, can they put it all together?
