Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Latest Jets news.

Note:  With the Jets securing the second overall pick we take a look at the projected pick Patrik Laine.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Worlds of interest.  With Jets fans not necessarily tuning into the Stanley Cup Playoffs they have another tournament with a bit more relevance to folks that follow the Winnipeg Jets.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hockey gods smile on Jets.  And you thought that the Jets didn’t have any luck.

Sportsnet:  Jets could look to trade other first-round pick.  (video – includes a 12 minute chat with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff).  Don’t misread that headline.  It says ‘other’ as many are so focused on the 2nd overall pick they’ve forgotten the Jets have the 22nd pick courtesy of the Ladd trade with Chicago.

Sportsnet:  Patrik Laine’s NHL Draft Lottery interview was glorious.  (video).  Think Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

TSN:  Off-season game plan.  Looks at a Jets team that has a roster that is ready to contend which just needs some goaltending to back it up.

The Hockey News:  Patrik Laine gives Winnipeg the best problem in all of hockey.  The Jets are dealing with an embarrassment of riches right now which is vastly preferable to the embarrassment of missing the playoffs once again.

Jets audio:
