Note:  Game one of five straight home games didn’t exactly go as planned despite a pretty solid effort by the home side.  The team heads back to the drawing board today as they will hit the ice for practice today at the MTS Centre as they get ready to face the Islanders tomorrow night.

Note II:  The Moose hit the ice for another practice today at the IcePlex before a travel day tomorrow as they depart for Texas for a pair of games.  First contest against the Rampage on Friday and then Saturday against the Stars.

Winnipeg Sun:  Home-ice struggles continue for Jets.  I’m not blaming the fans but the energy at the MTS Centre is definetly different than it has been in the past.  The players clearly haven’t given the home crowd much to cheer about this season.  I’ve seen almost every home game since the Jets returned and there just seems to be a malaise these days within the MTS Centre.

Winnipeg Sun:  Feels like prolonged funeral for Jets this season.  I feel like the song “The End” by the Doors should be playing while you read this article.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets rookie Copp ends scoring drought.  Not only was it a nice goal but it was against Roberto Luongo who looked unbeatable throughout most of the game.  Had it stood as the game winner it would have been quite the goal to discuss post game.
