Jets head coach Scott Arniel began his press conference by indicating that defenceman Elias Salomonsson will be away from the team as he deals with a personal matter.
“Elias Salomonsson won’t be with us right now. He’ll be away, he’s got some personal issues he’ll be looking at. There’s no timetable on that. Just respect his privacy on that situation.”
Tough news for Winnipeg as the team appeared to be getting close to full health with Josh Morrissey (44) seemingly nearing a return from IR.

Obviously, hockey takes a back seat in situations like this and you wish Salomonsson all the best.
