While the pause has ensured that most dates in the NHL calendar are becoming obsolete for this season one date the folks at CapFriendly remind us is still in effect:
While many calendar dates this off-season are still up in the air, the ‘Must Sign By’ date of June 1st for certain drafted players is still in effect.
Here is the list of players that each club must sign by next Monday at 5:00pm ET, otherwise they will lose their signing rights.
For the Winnipeg Jets this list include three players being:
Jacob Cederholm (2016 4th round)
Declan Chisholm (2018 5th round)
Giovanni Vallati (2018 5th round)
All three are defenceman. Cederholm has been on an AHL deal playing with the ECHL affiliate in Jacksonville. Chisholm finished his fourth season in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes where he set a career high in goals, assists and points. Vallati also finished his fourth season in the OHL and second with the Oshawa Generals but his production fell after a big third season.
