Following his second day on the ice with the prospects and invitees to Jets Development Camp bench boss Paul Maurice spoke.
Scrum topics: What is this week all about? Why is it important to have the NHL staff on the ice? What are the benefits to getting a baseline for some players (i.e. Heinola). What kind of growth does he see from CJ Suess? What are the benefits for Dylan Samberg? Has he uncovered better ways to explain fitness importance to these young players? On whether he is thinking about some of the players and where they could fit into the lineup? How stressful is it for a coach not knowing what his roster is going to be at training camp? Is it stressful not knowing? Thoughts on Andrei Chibisov and Joona Luoto? Thoughts on the schedule?
I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am.
And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Bell MTS Place to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
