Coach Maurice Friday scrum

Coach Maurice –  How/why does he decide to not practice today?  What is his biggest challenge with the 11 games that remain on the Jets schedule?  On how the players are very even keel today following a big win.  Combining desperation within the system he employs.  Does the previous games play help with preparation for Washington?  Importance of getting win when trailing going into 3rd.  Was bottom line that you’ve beaten a really good team?

Quick Synopsis:

– Said managing players “energy” will be one of the most important things down the stretch.

– “I would rather have them playing confident and hard than desperate.  Feel good about the game that you are playing.  Play it absolutely as hard as you can.  Leave everything out there.  Desperate always sounds like you are chasing something.  Before that puck drops you shouldn’t be chasing the game”.

– Spoke about importance of getting win when trailing “really important to know that you can so that it doesn’t become a bigger issue in your room.   To be able to generate some offence and come back and tie the game.  It’s really important.”
