The last update we had on injured Jets centre Bryan Little came ten days ago and like today didn’t provide a timeline on his return. Little has been out since November 5th when he was struck in the side of the head by a shot which perforated his eardrum and left him dealing with vertigo.
He has joined his team on the ice in a yellow, non-contact uniform since the calendar turned to January and which is how he was dressed today during practice at Bell MTS Place. Following the skate Jets bench boss Paul Maurice was asked for an update. He indicated “We think he’s a skater tomorrow again. Non-contact and he’s going to stay on the ice with us as long as he feels good. He’s almost monitoring his own heart rate. He gets in the drills and then stays out if he needs to. Start stringing some on-ice days together.”
It has been a very frustrating season for the 13 year pro as a concussion cost him almost the first month of the season and he only played seven games before his most recent injury.
While there is no immediate return in sight for Little the Jets could sure use him in the lineup.
