At the end of the second period of the Heritage Classic in Regina Jets forward Adam Lowry laid out Calgary Flames defenceman Oliver Kylington with a hit into the boards in the Calgary zone. Lowry’s hit immediately resulted in a scrum between the teams and thankfully for Kylington he was protected while he was laid out by Flames goalie Dave Rittich and Jets forward Andrew Copp who had the presence of mind to interpose themselves between the scrum and Kylington.

Via Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun:
Should be noted that Adam Lowry will be labelled as a repeat offender in his phone hearing tomorrow. He was suspended two games this past March for a high-sticking incident. #NHLJets
