Update on Winnipeg Jets draft picks playing in college or the USHL

We’ve been keeping you up-to-date with what is happening overseas with Jets prospects or players under contract to Winnipeg and today we take a look at what is doing with Jets draft picks who are playing college hockey (or in the UHSL).

1. Harrison Blaisdell (2019 5th rounder)

UND Fighting Hawks (NCHC): 3 GP 0 G 0 A 3 Shots

Health Update:  According to Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald the Saskatchewan product was injured in a game against Western Michigan on December 6th and has missed the last four games.

Next game: December 16th vs St. Cloud State.

2. Nathan Smith (2018 3rd rounder)

Minnesota State University – Mankato (WCHA): 3 GP 0 G 2 A 11 Shots

Next game: December 18th vs Bemidji State.

3. Logan Neaton (2019 5th rounder)

UMass-Lowell (H-East): 1 GP 0 W 1 L 3.05 GAA .893 save% (25 saves on 28 shots)

Next game: December 19th vs Maine

4. Jared Moe (2018 6th rounder)

University of Minnesota (Big 10): 0 GP.

His Gophers squad is rolling along with an undefeated 8-0-0 record but all the starts have gone to Hurricanes 2016 3rd rounder Jack LaFontaine.

5. Austin Wong (2018 7th rounder)

Harvard (ECAC):  Cancelled their season due to COVID.
Fargo Force (USHL): 9 GP 3 G 2 A 13 Shots

In May of 2018 Wong was selected 1st overall in Phase 2 of the 2018 USHL Draft by the Fargo Force for those curious as to how he came to be playing for the Force in the USHL.

6. Croix Evingson (2017 7th rounder)

Niagara University (AHA): 3 GP 0 G 2 A 10 Shots 5 Blocks.

The big (6’5″) left shot defenceman sat out last season as he transferred to Niagara University from UMass-Lowell.
