On the Beat: Ryan Miller getting close and more on Hemsky

What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

• Ryan Miller got through a second full practice unscathed today.  He’s close and that’s only good news for a Sabres team that has been hitting the tank.
• It looks like Matt Cullen (foot) will miss at least the next two games for Carolina.  He doesn’t get much press, but he is far more valuable than people think.
• Adrian Dater thinks Peter Budaj’s time with the Avalanche comes to an end after this season.  Can’t blame the Avs for that.
• Ken Hitchcock went off on his team at practice.  Just classic Hitchcock being Hithcock.

• After playing a ton lately, the Devils get the day off today.  Good coaching by Sutter.  You need your team rested for the playoffs.
