Dumont said he’d still like to see a motivated Radulov back on the Nashville roster this season. But the veteran was clearly disappointed in Radulov’s decision to sign a three-year contract to play in Russia while still under contract to the Predators.
“I know it’s a lot of money to play back at home, but … if you have a contract, you finish it and then you’re free to do whatever you want,” Dumont said. “That’s something we don’t want to see in hockey. You see it in some other sports and I think as hockey players, we’re kind of proud that players don’t just walk away from a contract.”
