Notable:
PP2 is a pretty, pretty, pretty good second option and we saw that as goes Cole Perfetti opened the scoring in the game with his 11th of the season.
Coming into this game the Jets were 25-6-1 with Dylan Samberg in the lineup and 11-8-2 without him playing. His worth has been pretty evident and then he goes and scores a goal to show he’s got some offence to his game.
That was as dominant a 1st period against a quality opponent as we’ve seen from Winnipeg this season.
Josh Morrissey called game. And he had quite the celebration as he taps the glass and then heads down the tunnel.
With his second assist of the night Mark Scheifele got to the 30 assist mark. That’s the 10th time in 12 seasons he’s done that.
Since he adopted the alter ego of Cole ‘The Prick’ Perfetti the winger has 4G 3A in the five games since he made those comments.
With the two assists he got in the game Neal Pionk got to 28 on the season which matches his total from the year prior but he did it in 28 fewer games. He’s on pace for 42 which would be a career high for the Minnesotan.
Multipoint Game:
Josh Morrissey 2G
Cole Perfetti 1G 1A
Dylan Samberg 1G 1A
Mark Scheifele 2A
Neal Pionk 2A
Vlad Namestnikov 2A
