In Memory of Dr. Richard Tapper

The city of Winnipeg lost a dynamic personality on Saturday and we at Illegalcurve.com lost one of our good friends.

On Saturday, May 19th the city of Winnipeg lost a tremendous human being, when one of my best friends Richard Tapper passed away.

Aside from his family, friends and his work, if there was one thing that Tapper lived and breathed it was all things sports with a special emphasis on the Winnipeg Jets.  He loved attending Jets 2.0 games and got to as many as he could during the inaugural season.

I cannot possibly sum up his life or what he meant to his friends with a few snippets.  Suffice it to say he was simply an amazing person who had a positive impact on people, someone who has left us way too quickly.  He will be missed.

Tapper Eulogy:  Here is the eulogy that Jordan Farber and I read in honour of Tap.

Winnipeg Free Press:  His life made our world a better place.
