Some news and notes from around the blogs today:
- CSN Philly: Gagne hurts hip and groin at Team Canada camp. The first player injured. Oh boy. Flyers brass isn’t going to be happy about this. Hope the insurance was paid.
- Puck Daddy: Mark Messier discusses the classic Gary Coleman photo. Looking at that photo I thought it was Vanilla Ice from the Surreal Life.
- T.O. Sports: Are most Toronto Maple Leaf fans a bunch of knuckleheads? I think they just have to be patient for Brian Burke to impliment his system.
- From the Rink: The mood on Balsillie. He will take over as the actor for Dos Equis beer as the most interesting man in the world if he can pull this off.
- On Frozen Pond: NHL makes bid for the Coyotes; Money meet Drain. Funny. Very odd that the NHL is getting involved in this manner. They must be worried about Jim Balsillie.
- Melt Your Face Off: So much fail, so little time. I’ve made my fair share of spelling mistakes but it is a pretty bad one.
- Black Dog Hate Skunks: Skewed perception and a trip to the communist bar. Oilers brass on the hot seat.
- Nuckleheads: Possible conversation that will happen at the Canucks training camp. Kinda funny.
- Slap Shot: Potential 2010 No.1 draft pick in Russian hockey kerfuffle. Good for him. Why should he sign a contract with that provision considering his status.
- Stanley Cup of Chowder: Bruins foundation to host a “Happy Gilmore” swinging contest. Simply awesome. Here is my best Happy Gilmore performed at a buddy’s Stag.
