Game 64: Jets vs. Sabres projected lines

A look at the game 64 projected lineups and pre-game audio.

Jets vs Sabres

Like the Jets the Sabres were in action on Saturday but unlike Winnipeg they were able to pick up a big win in Pittsburgh.  While the Sabres are sitting third from the bottom in the Eastern Conference they still have a good home record at Keybank Center having gone 18-10-4 so far this season.

Expect a few lineup changes as Cody Eakin is expected to make his Jets debut today.  We also don’t know if Connor Hellebuyck will get the start again or if they will go with Laurent Brossoit in net.  For now the lineup is simply based on last game and will be updated when coach speaks at 11:30 AM CST.

Morning Skate:

None.

Lineup News:

Coach Maurice confirms that Cody Eakin will slot in at 3rd line centre with Jack Roslovic sliding over to the wing.  Jansen Harkins will drop down to the 4th line while Logan Shaw comes out.  He also confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck starts.

Lineup Update:

Josh Morrissey was announced as a late scratch by Jets PR due to an upper-body injury. Anthony Bitetto draws back into the lineup.

Cody Eakin

Coach Maurice:  How will he use Cody Eakin today?  Getting Eakin involved in his first game.  Logan Shaw comes out?  Who starts in net?  What were his thoughts on Ralph Krueger and facing him twice in a week.  More on the relationship between himself and Krueger.  What does the move for Eakin do for the team at this time of the year?  Any changes on D?  On the game played in Philadelphia for Wheeler and Scheifele?

Health News:

While not related to the game Jets bench boss in responding to a question about Cody Eakin did provided a comment about Adam Lowry saying it was going to end up being two months.
