Game 5 of the pre-season: Jets vs. Flames projected lines

Lineups and pre-game audio in advance of tonight’s game.

The Jets will be sending their younger players to Calgary for tonight’s preseason game.  There was no morning skate but there was a media availability at 11 AM.  We know that Coach Maurice plans to start Eric Comrie in net although he said he is considering getting Mikhail Berdin into the net. Maurice added that it is a decision  he plans on making during the game.

Coach Maurice:  On Scheifele and Wheeler cracking the Top 50 of TSN player rankings.  On Vesalainen being critical of his own game.  Does he get any sense that Vesalainen is playing too safe or too conservative?  Updates on Lowry, Perreault and Niku?  On Niku only playing one game.

Health News:

The Jets IR skated Lowry and Perreault.  Both players are expected to be part of the full practice tomorrow.  CJ Suess and Luke Green were also part of it.  Suess should probably be part of the practice tomorrow as well and Coach Maurice indicated that Green’s availability is up to the trainers/doctors.  Sounds like Niku is in a different category as he hasn’t hit an IR skate yet.  The Jets bench boss did indicate that it continues to be the groin issue.
