Game 47: Jets vs Senators pre-game report

A look at the projected lineups and pre-game interviews.

The Jets took Friday off as they look to stop their losing streak which currently sits at two games. The Sens played and lost last night in Pittsburgh.

There are some lineup questions with Logan Stanley, who is currently on IR, having ditched his non-contact uniform for a regular one. I do wonder if the team sends him down (he’d have to agree) on a conditioning assignment to the Moose as he has been out since December 9th. There is also the question of Dylan Samberg who has been dealing with an illness.

Skate news:

As per Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press there were no line rushes in the morning skate but he’s got Dylan Samberg in for Ville Heinola and Karson Kuhlman in for Sam Gagner. He also has Connor Hellebuyck starting in net.

Warm-up skate:

As per Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg some movements amongst the forward groups.

Jets projected lines & D pairs:

Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Dubois-Perfetti
Barron-Lowry-Kuhlman
Jonsson-Fjallby Stenlund Maenalanen

Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt

Hellebuyck
Rittich

Betway Odds:

The Jets have been in Ottawa a few days while the Senators got back to town late on Friday after being handled 4-1 by the Penguins in Pittsburgh last night. The home team comes into the game 4-6-0 in their last ten with a 12-10-1 record at Canadian Tire Centre and a -15 goal differential. While the Jets have slide of late including their last two games they are still the heavy favourites in tonight’s game. Be sure to check out the latest game day odds from Betway.
