The Jets had themselves a nice little break but given the laundry list of skating wounded needed lots more time to heal than three days. We will have to wait and see if they have anyone back for today’s game. The only real question mark would appear to be Cole Perfetti who missed the last game in Washington after suffering an injury in Boston the night before. He was to be evaluated in Winnipeg. If the Jets make a recall my guess is that Jeff Malott will be the name called as he has been really hot for Manitoba scoring seven times in the last five games (12 in last 15) for the Moose and leading the team with 15 goals this season. Could also hear Alex Limoges get his name called given he leads Manitoba in scoring with seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 23 games and he has produced consistently on the farm. Lastly they could also announce the recall of Dominic Toninato who has three goals and three assists in nine games for Manitoba.
Skate news:
No Cole Perfetti for the Jets as per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet and the Jets lines have a new look as per Wieber.
Lineup:
Appears that Ville Heinola comes out with Dylan Samberg coming back in.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Dubois-Scheifele
Barron-Lowry-Harkins
Jonsson-Fjallby-Stenlund-Kuhlman
Eyssimont-Gustafsson-Gagner
Morrissey – DeMelo
Dillon – Pionk
Samberg – Capobianco
Hellebuyck
Rittich
Health news:
As per Rick Bowness no Cole Perfetti for the next 7-10 days. Here is the complete update.
Betway Odds:
Just three points separate these two teams with Minnesota holding a game in hand. Both teams slide into the game having lost their last game (with the Jets on a two-game slide) and the oddsmakers have this game with a slight edge to the visitors who are 7-3-0 in their last ten games while the home team are 5-5-0.
