Quick Notes:
A tough loss to the Oilers in Edmonton for the Jets this evening. It was a fairly even game and the Jets had been undefeated when leading after 40 minutes but a Patrik Laine own goal gave the Oilers a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Tough on the rookie and Blake Wheeler immediately went over to consul the young rookie.

The Jets return home being swept out of Alberta and have now lost their last three games in a row. The team will have three days before their next game and you can expect the team will likely be ready to go on Thursday against the Panthers.
Good news from the game was Blake Wheeler finished the game for Winnipeg. He had originally left the game in the 1st period when he fell hard into the boards against his back, returned in the 2nd and then left again. Eventually the captain would return for good so the Jets avoided losing a key contributor.

Paul Maurice: Happy with the response in tonight’s game? What does he say to Laine after the game? How certain was he about the coach’s challenge? Being done the 32 in 60 stretch, can he evaluate it?
