Game 29: Capitals 5 Jets 2 post-game recap

Post-game recap and interviews with Jets players as well as from Coach Lowry.

No ‘Dave there it is’ chant as the Jets drop the first game of the Dave Lowry era by a final score of 5-2 to the Capitals. They are now 13-11-5 on the season.

Notable:

Josh Morrissey scored his fifth goal of the year in game 29 which is one more than he scored last season in 56 games. His career high is seven which he did in 2017-18 in 81 games.

The Jets announced that David Gustafsson was done in the 2nd period. He fell into the Capitals net in the 1st. They called it a lower-body injury.  They also lost Evgeny Svechnikov in the 3rd period.

Nikoaj Ehlers picked up his 175th career assist.
