If I didn’t see that game I wouldn’t have believed it.  The Habs put up 50 shots and somehow the Jets managed to secure a point.  Even more surprising was that the Jets held a 4-2 lead with 12 minutes to go in the 3rd. On the positive side the power play clicked three times but conversely they gave up two goals on the penalty kill.

Connor Hellebuyck remains undefeated at 7-0-2 and was pretty much the only reason the Jets got a point in the game.  Patrik Laine scored for the second consecutive game while Nikolaj Ehlers got his team leading eighth of the season.  Wheeler (1G 1A) and Byfuglien (2A) were the only Jets to get multiple points in the OT loss.

Jets are 4-0-3 in their last seven games and will head to Dallas on Sunday to kick start a three-game road trip.

After a day off today the Jets are all back on the ice tomorrow.

Some players will be taking part in the first home pre-season game against the Senators while there are two skate times for the non-game groups.

We will have it all covered on

Can only keep a Winnipegger away from Manitoba for so long before the pull to come home gets you.

John Lu will be back in Winnipeg and will provide excellent coverage of the Jets for TSN.

What are your initial thoughts on this hire?

John Lu of TSN will be returning to Winnipeg to take over covering Winnipeg Jets from Sara Orlesky
