Brad Lambert clears waivers and can be assigned to the Manitoba Moose

For the first time in his career he clears waivers.

For the first time in his career, Jets prospect Brad Lambert was placed on waivers by the NHL club on Tuesday. He then had to wait 24 hours to learn his hockey fate, and it turns out he’ll be staying in Manitoba after passing through unclaimed as per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

It’s been a tough season for the 2022 first-rounder, who has recorded just one assist in 11 games with the Winnipeg Jets.

The good news for Lambert is that he’ll have an opportunity to re-establish his game with the Moose, who lead the AHL in goals scored. Playing for the league’s highest-scoring team could go a long way toward helping him rediscover his offensive touch and regain some confidence.
