Moose Release:

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today that they have recalled goaltender Jussi Olkinuora from their ECHL affiliate, the Tulsa Oilers.

Olkinuora, 25, has played seven games this season for the Oilers and has posted a 2-3-2 record along with a 2.80 GAA and a .909 save percentage.

Over the past three seasons Olkinuora has played in fifteen career AHL games with the St. John’s IceCaps registering a 7-5-0 record with a 3.45 GAA and a .883 save percentage. The native of Helsinki, Finland has also played 77 career games in the ECHL split between Tulsa and Ontario.

The Moose have also released goaltender Joe Caligiuri from his amateur tryout. Caligiuri was signed to an amateur tryout agreement prior to Sunday’s home game against the Bakersfield Condors.

Manitoba will begin a six game road trip this Wednesday when they travel to Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters.
