Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets just as excited as their joyous fans.  I spoke with Chris Mason the other night and you could tell that the Jets players were feeding off the excitement from the Winnipeg fans across this great city.

Winnipeg Sun:  For young Jets prospect father does know best.  While the NHL of today is a lot different than when his father played, it still helps to have someone who is able to give you guidance.

Winnipeg Sun:  Ex-Wheaties captain honoured to be at Jets’ first camp.  There were a lot of wide eyed players at yesterday’s practice.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets prospects under scrutiny.  Fans can tune into Sprorts Radio 1290 which will be doing play by play of the games.

Toronto Star:  Frattin prepared to feel the pressure in Leafland.  It’s one thing to say it, it is another to live under the bubble.

Edmonton Journal:  Oilers’ Nugent-Hopkins eager to to play in Sunday night game.  Will be nice to finally stop hearing the chatter and begin watching some actual hockey being played.

Ottawa Citizen:  Defenceman Jared Cowen hopes this is the year.  After some seasoning back in Jr. and then briefly in the AHL, will the 9th overall pick in the 2009 entry draft make the jump to the NHL?
