Note: A lack of secondary scoring and penalty troubles proved costly for the Jets last night in St. Louis. Winnipeg received an excellent performance from Stuart Skinner, who was matched at the other end by Winnipegger Joel Hofer. With the game tied 1-1, the Blues capitalized on Winnipeg’s fifth minor penalty of the night, scoring on the power play to secure a 2-1 victory. It was another costly loss for the Jets, who have now dropped three straight games (0-2-1).
Note II: Now Winnipeg has to turn its attention to a Stars team coming off a comeback win over the Bruins last night, which saw Mikko Rantanen record a hat trick. The Jets will practice today at 1 PM CT as they prepare for Thursday’s Central Division showdown in Dallas, so check back for our Practice Report following today’s skate.
Note III: The Moose practiced yesterday in Grand Rapids and also received some good news as Walker Duehr cleared waivers and was assigned to Manitoba. His addition will provide a boost to the AHL club after losing Jets prospect Brayden Yager to a recall by Winnipeg. The Moose will hold their morning skate at 10:15 AM CT before taking on the Griffins at 6 PM CT.
Note IV: All of which will give us plenty to discuss throughout the week on the Daily Dose of the Illegal Curve Hockey Show. Join us Monday to Friday at 3 PM CT on the IC YouTube channel and across our other social media platforms as we break down all the latest developments surrounding the Jets and Moose.
